Cinéma Paradiso: open-air cinema days are back at the Louvre
After carrying out successful editions in 2013 and 2015 at the Grand Palais and orchestrating a great celebration to commemorate the 30 years of the pyramid of the louvre in 2019, the outdoor movie season returns to the summer of the French capital. The Cinema Paradiso Festival will begin on Thursday, July 1 at 7:30 p.m. with a selection of films that will be screened for free at Paris.
Located on the Cour Carrée du Louvre, the film Festival, who have jointly designed the Louvre Museum with Mk2, was inspired by the movie Cinema Paradiso, Italian film director Giuseppe Tornatore. In homage to this production, the event in question will feature five screenings outdoor , in an evening that will conjugate cinema , music sessions, various gastronomic proposals and the celebration of summer.
Thus, from July 1 to Sunday July 4, the Cinema Paradiso Louvre Festival will show movies like 2001: A Space Odyssey, tomorrow's war, how i became a superhero, cinema Paradiso Y let the party begin , a production directed by Bertrand Tavernier and starring Philippe Noiret, Jean Rochefort, Jean-Pierre Marielle, Christine Pascal and Alfred Adam.
The outdoor screenings will take place on a giant screen 24 meters long with trailers of films promoted by the platforms Prime Video and Netflix.
In turn, this edition will have concert sessions and DJs hosted by Bon Entendeur, Bonnie Banane, Myd and Sofiane Pamart before each film, while bars and food trucks will accompany the interventions of personalities from the world of cinema and artists.
Although the Cinéma Paradiso festival is free, advance booking is required at mk2festivalparadiso.com , since a total of 1,455 people per day will be admitted to the event.
On the other hand, the conferences will be governed by health regulations of the city, and will be carried out in association with Kinoshita Group to ensure compliance with biosanitary measures.
