What happens when a group of crazy fans get together? street art? The answer is in the story behind the portal and application Street Art Cities , an international community to share and find urban art in the most unexpected places.
"The website started in heerlen (The Netherlands) in 2015 and the first international collaboration was with me, I was in Antwerp. Our platform began to grow and we contemplated the possibility of creating the first universal application of urban art in the summer of 2017, now known as the app Street Art Cities ", Tim, one of the founders, told Traveler.es.
What started as a hobby for a group of Belgians and Dutch, including Tim, a street art hunter . Little by little, and thanks to social networks, it became a community that has already registered 16,456 works of art from 361 cities , about 72 countries.

What is your mission? "We try to document all the street art in the world , so we will not stop until we achieve it. Right now you can explore street art in major cities like Berlin, New York, Montreal , Medellin, Paris, Melbourne, but also lesser-known cities like Bañeza, Waterford, Lecce, to name just a few," he notes.
It is a platform based on the community, in which they complete detailed information on the murals of each city, where to locate them and information on each of them, such as the name of the artist, how he has made his work and where to find it. "We also add new cities every month. We are already active in 20 cities in Spain ".
