Walking around the city is also an experience for lovers of the saga, as it is full of corners that pay tribute to it: Platform 9 and ¾ at King's Cross Station, Diagon Alley at Leadenhall Market, The Cauldron and its magical potions, the House of Minalima museum... and now, a statue of Harry playing Quidditch!
The bronze statue stands in Leicester Square, very close to the cinema where the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone took place in November 2001.

Harry thus joins other characters such as Laurel & Hardy, Mary Poppins, Mr Bean and Paddington , which are part of the tour Scenes in the Square, a sculpture trail celebrating a century of movie magic.
Heart of London, in collaboration with Premier, are the creators of this sculpture trail which celebrates a century of cinematic magic and allows visitors to become part of his favorite films.
The objective? "We were looking for a creative vision that would cement Leicester Square's global reputation as the home of cinema, while increasing footfall and the feel-good factor and generating significant media and social impact," they said in a statement.

In fact, on September 25, Heart of London was revealed as the winner of the prestigious DRUM PR Award for Best Event , stunt or promotional activation, by Scenes in the Square.
