Alovera Beach: there is a beach here!

Whoa, whoa! In Madrid there will be a beach!

Although to be exact, Alovera Beach will be located in the province of Guadalajara, in a strategic enclave of the Corredor del Henares, between Azuqueca and Guadalajara, 300 kilometers from the sea and 50 kilometers from the capital.

Grupo Rayet will be in charge of developing the first and largest urban beach in Europe, which will have a large sheet of crystal clear water of almost 25,000 square meters, surrounded by a sandy beach of 15,000 square meters.

This large leisure park will have five different areas, but at the same time integrated: sheet of water and beach, sports and entertainment equipment, slide towers and children's pools, sailing school and water sports (kayak, sailing and paddle surfing, among others) and restaurant services (restaurant, beach bar and snack bars).

THE PROJECT

Rayet Group , a company with extensive experience in the field of civil works and urban services, joins Crystal Lagoons, a multinational specialized in the design, construction, execution and maintenance of artificial beaches around the world, to present its new Alovera Beach project, an artificial beach in the municipality of Alovera (Guadalajara), less than 40 minutes from the center of Madrid.

“Alovera Beach represents an innovative concept that will transform Alovera and that will position the municipality on the European map of technology, innovation and sustainability, and as a unique reference in outdoor activities”, he explained Félix Abánades, President of Grupo Rayet.

Also, It will have more than 1,000 parking spaces and access will be through direct communication with the A-2 so as not to congest the urban center of Alovera.

Alovera Beach will be developed within the I-15 Las Suertes sector, south of the old town of Alovera and linked to the residential developments of the municipality, and will also serve to regenerate an environmentally highly degraded area with the creation of a large green park after the project.

Alovera Beach will have five recreational areas

The General Director of Rayet Environment, Antonio Puy, has highlighted the scope of the project that will be built on an area of action of 105,000 square meters: "In addition, Alovera Beach will also mean the creation of almost 350 jobs between direct and indirect employment."

WATER AND SUSTAINABILITY

Crystal Lagoons Regional Director for Europe, Francisco Matte, has highlighted the sustainability of its crystalline lagoons whose maintenance implies a very low consumption of resources such as water and energy.

Thus, “the sustainability of these aquatic amenities make them even more attractive. A typical crystal clear lagoon uses 30 times less water than a standard golf course, and in many cases only rainwater is needed to fill them, in part. thanks to an anti-evaporation technology that reduces the amount of water that is lost through evaporation”, says Matte.

50 kilometers from Madrid

Alovera Beach will have a minimum consumption of water, the main advantage being the fact that it will only be filled once, unlike conventional pools. In other words, the volume of water is similar to the annual consumption of a development of 80 homes, but with the difference that the lagoon is only filled once in a lifetime.

Its anti-evaporation technology will reduce the volume of water lost through evaporation and will not need to be refilled because the water will constantly regenerate. Also, it will use only 2% of the energy required by standard filtration technologies and 100 times less additives than these.

It will consume half the water of conventional park irrigation and 40 or 50 times less than the maintenance of a golf course. Namely, If a green park were built instead of this project, twice as much water would be consumed for irrigation.

The sheet of water is 25,000 square meters, but only a maximum depth of 2.5 meters. Therefore, he filling the sheet of water will only represent 0.03 cubic hectometres.

HOW TO GET?

The main access will be from Avenida de España, bordering the football stadium and crossing the Arroyo de Malvecino by means of a walkway for road traffic.

An internal use service road will connect the ends of the parking pocket.
