Stefan Draschan photographs three hours a day, always on the move, following his passion: art. “ You won't believe it but I got my first camera in 2013 , it was a gift from one of my brothers for quitting smoking ”, He remembers.
His project, People matching artworks, in which he captures people mimicking themselves, has captured the attention of international media numbers. But how did he start? “In 2015, after having had one or two coincidences by chance, it became clear that this could become a series, that these were not isolated moments but that there is an unconscious link. By chance, like everything I do. I love to watch,” he tells Traveler in an email interview. "It has been published that I have a lot of patience but, in reality, I am very active, otherwise it would end up like this," he clarifies.

During that chameleon-like moment, everything falls into place. . “I feel above all happy, I love it. Although there is always the risk that the picture will be out of focus and I can't check it on the small screen of the camera, so sometimes I am very disappointed and sad when I get home and look at it on the computer”, acknowledges Stefan Draschan.

Art guides his compass and, at the moment, 40 museums in seven cities are part of the series . “Museums and exhibitions are part of my travels. Even paintings in particular. I know where all the Vermeers are and I would travel only for a Caravaggio. If you tell me where there is an exhibition of Felix Vallotton or Hannah Hörch at the moment, I would go”.

After working as a teacher, journalist or DJ, this 38-year-old Austrian has spent four years with the camera on his shoulder. Now, and for the next few months, he will live in Paris, where he spends three hours a day “looking” through the lens and pursuing his goal: “ the challenge, take a good photograph a day .
