Cabin is the first hotel that runs from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
Some 48,000 people travel daily along the route that goes from the bay of San Francisco until The Angels. A total of 800 km (about 500 miles), and only 3% of them use the train or bus to do so, according to data from Cabin.
“Weighing the different options is like choosing the poison you are going to take: flights are expensive (even more so if you include the cost of getting to and from the airport); while the buses are poor quality and unsafe, and the train takes about 12 hours,” explains Tom Currier, CEO and Co-Founder of **Cabin.**
Each passenger has their own private bed with internet connection.

“We have had as clients lawyers and government employees, students of technology startups and international travelers. A point in common between all of them has been the enthusiasm of experiencing a most comfortable way to travel , in which you don't waste time, ”emphasizes Tom.
One of the main purposes of it has been to reduce the stress of the traveler making the journey something pleasant. And this has been thanks to his design. “We were inspired by the hotels we love, like Standard Hotels in New York, Ace Hotel and Bowery Hotel, but we also looked at older and more luxurious options, like sleeper trains and transatlantic liners,” says Cabin CEO.
Cabin has equipped bathrooms and own safety equipment.
Its cabins are designed so that the traveler feels that he is in a clean and friendly hotel , that's why they used the white and wood color.
“Cabin derives from our love for golden age of travel , when passengers reserved cabins instead of seats. This concept of private space and accommodation helped get people excited about both the journey and the final destination,” adds Tom.
The service started in July 2017 and these two entrepreneurs they are already thinking about the future with new routes to the United States.
