The Speakeasy

Welcome to Dry Law

Can you imagine what it would have been like to be a pupil of Aristotle, to have lived in London during the industrial revolution... or to live in San Francisco during the Dry Law?

In the city on the bay you can still find remnants of those years when people flocked to underground bars and entertainment venues, the speakeasy : there are several "secret" bars, some as famous as the Bourbon & Branch (where during the Dry Law there was a speakeasy and that requires prior reservation). Although, for a few months, there has been another option: visit The Speakeasy .

Do you remember the books “choose your own adventure” ? The Speakeasy is a trip back in time (you better be prepared with the correct wardrobe if you want to go unnoticed) in which for one night you will live as many narratives as you are willing to discover: it is an intricate experience that begins when you buy your ticket, continues with the indications of where to go to get the password and the signs to get there to a 1920s speakeasy... full of stories of San Francisco at that time.

A night at the Speakeasy is not a linear narrative, it is a multitude of personal stories that move from one room to another, it is a true journey through time that you do not want to leave. From the hand of the producers David Gluck, Geoffrey Libby and Nick A. Olivero and with a cast of 35 actors, The Speakeasy opened its doors... to stay.

Dance and enjoy the musical numbers in the cabaret ; take a Russian Misstress , at the bar while watching a gathering of World War I fighters or one of the regulars losing his composure; or play blackjack or roulette at the casino.

Move freely, follow a character, discover hidden doors and easter eggs, or let the night pass in a single stage. It's up to you. Each of your decisions will lead you to live a different experience.

It runs as your night runs, drama, laughter and fun are guaranteed . But, above all, a night in which you will get to know first-hand what a night in San Francisco was like during the 1920s. Or several.
