** OVNEW ** is located under the dome of the Hotel Hesperia Tower in Barcelona , the design of the Anglo-Italian architect Ricarch Rogers, author of the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris and Terminal 4 of the Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport.
This new project is located on the roof of what many of us have nicknamed for years 'the Barcelona UFO' , which is located at 29 floors above ground Y 105 meters high . A structure weighing 32 tons, with an area of 500 m2 and a diameter of 24m that coexists with the city since 2005 and that has hosted other successful gastronomic projects such as the Evo de Santi Santamaría.
The experience cannot but be shared with the views of Barcelona, which at night is even more beautiful, if possible. That is why OVNEW is only open during the dinner shift to take advantage of the lighting of the city.

OVNEW is the new 360º experience from chefs Jon Giraldo and Jaime Lieberman natives of Colombia and Mexico. Both have a long history in the kitchen, as they have already successfully captained Club Spoonik in 2013 and the Spoonik restaurant with which they won the National Hospitality Award in the category of innovation in 2017 for their 'neurogastronomy'.
The two are simply non-conformists, that's why this new crazy proposal could only come from them. OVNEW is nothing you can expect, It is many things and all surprising.
First starting with the technology they have launched in the dome. More than 60 sound points provoke an immersive sensation with the Sfëar 3D sound technology , created at Eurocat and 1,000 programmed digital led points that create an atmosphere in each part of the menu. What if we told you that it is a unique sound and lighting project in the world?
Jon Giraldo and Jaime Lieberman once again immerse themselves in the concept of neurogastronomy to go further. They pose you along a journey through the five continents about 20 tastings (no, you won't go hungry here) and five desserts that reflect on our relationship with food, ingredients and our values.
“ People do not eat by an instinctive act but it is a game in which the five senses intervene, and other mental processes such as memory, experiences, education, emotions or expectations that a dish generates when facing it”, they point out from OVNEW.

The gastronomic experience , which is mixed with live music and art, begins with the starters from the continents: an explosion of flavors in which you will discover ingredients that are as atypical in our kitchens as they are in the whole world.
You will have to test your synesthesia in the first tastes, it is said of the secondary or associated sensation that occurs in one part of the body as a result of a stimulus applied to another. And you will continue traveling through the far east where you will be surprised by the taste of a Palamós prawn with green curry cream, tandory pork and sea urchin, among other equally interesting dishes.
In the A mazonia you will discover great gastronomic gems such as smoked red mullet wrapped in banana leaf , Meanwhile in Arabian there will be more like the Babaganush roll with smoked eggplant, pine nuts, pistachios and dates.
