Comporta, Portugal: More traditional, Luiz Saldanha's cabins in Comporta are a “chic” option, with a somewhat wild touch. Invaded by beach sand and pine trees, they are located near the Aldeia de Carvalhal, on the Alentejo coast. From there you can walk to the beach or cycle around the area. The endless sandbanks share space with the green rice fields dotted with small villages and fishermen's huts, with storks here and there.
