**FIRST (TRUE) OUTLETS IN NEW YORK **
It has happened to all of us to reach New York with an empty suitcase and bring it back loaded with frustration . Century 21, Macy's and Bloomingdales department stores have become a shopping hub for many visitors who don't want to spend an entire day traveling to New Jersey's cheap stores.
Well, now you can start saving because this fall opens the first outlet area in the city. Empire Outlets is found in Staten Island and you can get there by taking the same free ferry that many tourists take to see the statue of liberty without paying a penny.
Among the brands you'll find are Nike, GAP, Brooks Brothers, Levi's, Banana Republic and then restaurants like Shake Shack and Artichoke Pizza. Now you have an excuse to stay on the island instead of running off the boat to catch the boat back.
