At The Brooklyn Art Library they have been creating The Sketchbook Project for ten years, a sketch library of over 70,000 artists from around the world , from children in Sudan or communities in Mongolia to creatives from New York or professional illustrators.
thousands of stories of anonymous people who wanted to leave their mark on this permanent collection in which you can also participate. It doesn't matter if you're a good artist or not, if you're talented or not; or if you are a professional, it does not matter how old you are.

Brooklyn Art Library he has a real treasure that he has been cultivating since 2006. It all started in Atlanta when the small organization made up of Steven, Sarah, Marissa and Shane decided to start The Sketchbook Project , although in 2009 they moved to New York, where they finally opened the public library.
"The project began more than ten years ago from the idea that art should be accessible to anyone, regardless of someone's ability or past experience with art," Emily Morin, assistant at direction of The Sketchbook Project.
if you pass by brooklyn you can admire a total of 36,279 books by artists and creatives from more than 135 countries. “Most of our books come from US citizens, Canadians and UK residents. We love having artists from any country,” adds Emily.
The surprise is guaranteed because you never know what you are going to find when you open one of them. you might find yourself a simple blank sketch, personal stories, pop-up books…
“We have found some stories that are incredibly funny and also very personal. From the story of a young woman explaining her experience with a dating app to that of a man undergoing treatment and surviving cancer”, underlines Emily.
