BiciMAD: Madrid launches a public bike service!
1. PRACTICAL
Well, if you don't have a bicycle but you dream of seeing the sunlight and moving around in a ventilated means of transport, you can use one of the 1580 electric bikes of BiciMAD . In some European cities we can already find showers in offices. Will we see it in Spain?

To use it you must have a membership card and pay for the service. You can sign up on the BiciMAD website , at Madrid City Council offices or in the official app . How much? Unlike other cities like Barcelona, the first half hour is not free. The membership card costs 25 euros per year (15 euros if you already have the Public Transport Card) and you can top up your balance with a minimum of 10 euros. The basic usage fees are: 50 cents (the first 30 minutes) , 60 cents (in blocks of 30 minutes) and 4 euros per hour (from 2 hours) . Although there is some discounts depending on the bike station you use.
BiciMAD works every day of the year 24 hours a day. 123 stations - spread over Downtown, Retiro, Salamanca, Moncloa and Arganzuela - are at the disposal of your impulses. Leave behind your usual routes and rediscover the city. Wander around and go your own way.
