That Da Vinci is a milestone in the history of art it's undeniable. Endless intrigues revolve around his works: from the attempt to decipher the identity of one of the most enigmatic smiles that have ever been captured on canvas, until the conspiracy theories that have emerged from the traces of The Last Supper .

His skill with the brush has left such a mark that 500 years later we still remember the day the painter, sculptor, architect, engineer, musician, inventor and anatomist stopped enlightening us with his creativity.

This February is the 500th anniversary of the death of the Renaissance genius and different exhibitions are planned in ** Italy , France , England ** and also Spain . Take note!

**A TEMPORARY EXHIBITION AT THE LOUVRE, PARIS **

This temple of art has the honor of hosting in fall 2019 an impressive collection of paintings by the Italian artist. The Louvre is prepared to celebrate a special year, which marks the 500th anniversary of the Da Vinci's death in the French city of Amboise, in the Loire Valley.

The master of the brush stayed in the Château du Clos Lucé at the invitation of king Francis I, who named him "first painter, engineer and architect of the king". In this castle, Leonardo spent the last three years of his life making scientific treatises and drawings.

For this reason, the louvre can boast of covering almost a third of his paintings , both those that were part of the royal collection and the twenty two drawings which were added later.

The Mona Lisa will be overshadowed by an exhibition that will attempt to bring together as many Da Vinci paintings as possible (between fourteen and seventeen) and a small but significant sculpture show.
