A nudist cove whose difficult access (you have to go down a path between the rocks) only adds charm and makes it more desirable. Calm and shallow water , only the train track behind reminds us that we are not so far from civilization.

SANT SEBASTIÀ, SITGES
The beach in the urban area of one of the most charming towns in Catalonia has been attracting artists, tourists and Bohemian lovers in general . The profile of the church that we have all become accustomed to seeing on film festival posters reminds bathers of where they are at all times, and two steps away, good restaurants, rice restaurants, museums, monuments and all the movement you want (Sitges station).

CALA MORISCA, SITGES
Another nudist-friendly beach with many fans of its tranquility and clean waters in the middle of the rocky Garraf coast. It also has a beach bar where you can eat with good views.
THE HOUSES OF GARRAF, GARRAF
One of our favourites. Totally unmistakable for its white and green barracks that fishermen used to store their gear and now make us die of envy because they are authentic homes on the beachfront. There is a hotel-chiringuito planted on the sand (infringing any kind of recently enacted law) and a good restaurant with several terraces on the rocks that is an excellent culinary destination, even in winter . Also, the train stop leaves us at an exact minute (Garraf station).

CASTELLDEFELS BEACH
Almost five kilometers of beach with hardly any interruption where there is always a place and even tranquility just 20 minutes south of Barcelona . It has all the services and facilities of a large beach in an urban area and an increasingly interesting gastronomic offer, with openings such as the Barracuda (brother of Barraca de la Barceloneta). We've already talked about everything we like and like a little less about the urban city beaches here. And with its drawbacks, its ever-living atmosphere, its deluxe beach bars, its exclusive hotels, its endless promenade and its succession of breakwaters , long live Barceloneta, always (Barceloneta and Ciutadella metro stop) .

PONT DE PETROLI, BADALONA
Let us remember that the beaches are not only a place of recreation, leisure and socarrat. They can also be workspaces or, at least, they once were . The toponymy of this Badalona beach reminds us of its past as a landing place for hydrocarbons starting in the 1960s. The jetty that identifies it today was built for that purpose in the 1960s and today It is a place of study of marine fauna , meteorological and meeting point for scuba divers. Between the pontoon structure and the nearby Anís del Mono factory sign, it's easy to understand why too concentrates photographers and amateurs . There are other livelier beach areas in Badalona (especially the one around the photogenic and bustling Donzella Beach), but this one is unique (Badalona station or Pep Ventura and Pomepu Fabra metro) .

BEACH OF SANT JOAN, MONTGAT
Montgat can be considered the first coastal town north of Barcelona (because Badalona is decidedly not) and its three beaches have the charm of rural tranquility without losing sight of the towers of the Besós thermal power plant. Simple houses, family atmosphere, fishermen's boats and assured old school charm (Montgat station).
OCATA BEACH, EL MASNOU
Another of everyone's favorites due to its large size, its proximity to the city, how well connected it is and the reasonable quality of its waters. For the most restless, it has a yacht club and a sailing club (Ocata station) .
PLATJA DE SANT SIMÓ, MATARÓ AND SANT ANDREU DE LLAVANERES
Of the three beaches in Mataró, this is the best for size and services. A kilometer and a half of narrow sandbank very popular with the residents of the area that includes a nudist stretch (Mataró station) .

CALDES D'ESTRAC
Caldetes or Caldes d'Estrac It maintains the charm of the old Maresme when the Catalan bourgeoisie used to spend the summer here. The train track continues to pass in front of it (a train that connects the Maresme towns very well but forces them to use the underground or elevated passage to access the beaches) but it is the first to have a row of houses between the tracks and the beach a, which always gives a certain charm. Its Palau foundation makes it a cultural destination that is always interesting and its beach, which ends up joining those of Arenys de Mar, guarantees space for a towel and relaxation (Caldes d'Estrac station) .
PLATJA DE MORER IN SANT POL DE MAR
At one end of the pretty town of Sant Pol, this small beach hides under the rocks and the train track shortly before reaching the large esplanades of Calella.
