Lucy's Delicatessen: the gourmet store you won't want to leave

Artist **Lucy Sparrow, aka the Queen of Felt (or @sewyoursoul),** is able to craft the soft, squishy version of anything thrown in front of her.

Sparrow has participated in many exhibitions around the world, showing her original and colorful creations, often topped off with googly eyes and smiles.

However, if we stop and look just beyond the happy little faces, we see allusions to the consumerist universe, mental health or the political landscape –look at the googly-eyed Prozac or the stuffed guns with the slogan 'Love is a warm gun'–.

The last installation of her, Lucy's Delicatessen , just opened at the **Rockefeller Center in New York ** and we want to take it home ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.

A GOURMET SPACE VERY BUT VERY SOFT

Lucy Sparrow's Delicatessen on 6th is the sixth installation in the British artist's series of felt shops. Located on the corner of 49th Street and 6th Avenue, the space represents a gourmet shop where we find all kinds of products - Be careful, don't try to sink your teeth into them, although you won't hurt yourself in the attempt either.

Fresh fish, seafood, French cheeses, chocolate, fruit, vegetables... All of them handmade in felt and available to buy.

The facility is part of Rockefeller Center's Art in Focus arts program, Presented in association with the non-profit organization Art Production Fund , which hosts exhibitions by contemporary artists inspired by New York City landscape and everyday life

Lucy Sparrow, the felt artist

In addition to her particular delicatessen corner, Lucy Sparrow will exhibit some works in various unexpected corners of Rockefeller Center.

So we can see aquariums and terrariums, made with materials such as felt, lycra, diamonds, sequins and glass beads.

Imagine a small tomato smiling at you from her position with its little eyes or a tray full of squishy, squeezable pieces of sushi.

All very cute, yes. But behind those little eyes hides the background of all this: that we reflect on our relationship with consumption.
