Arcadia Earth: a multisensory journey that will not leave you indifferent

AN ILLUSIONARY WORLD THAT COULD COME TRUE

The effects of climate change are increasingly evident in all corners of the planet. A planet that is dying at times and that it needs changes in order to survive.

Arcadia Earth was born precisely to be aware of these changes , which are as necessary as urgent.

This fictional world recreates, through large-scale installations, many of the environmental problems we face today.

“The exhibition has a surface of 1,400 meters distributed in 15 rooms ”, they tell from Arcadia Earth to Traveler.es

AN ENVIRONMENTAL THEME IN EVERY ROOM

The mind behind the project is that of Valentino Vettori , who has created this interactive journey together with a series of environmental artists.

“Some of the artists who have collaborated in the construction of Arcadia Earth are Samuelle Green, Tamara Kotianovsky, Etty Yaniv, Cindy Pease Roe, and Poramit Thantapalit ”, they comment to Traveler.es

“We also have the talent of Jesse Harrod, Justin Bolognino/META, Katie Donahue, Katharina Hoerath, Charlotte Becket and Emmy Mikelson, and Basia Goszczynska ”, they conclude.

Each of the rooms is dedicated to an environmental theme, such as overfishing, plastics, deforestation, food waste or climate change.

A MULTI-SENSORY JOURNEY THROUGH A FANTASTIC WORLD

During our multi-sensory journey through Arcadia, we will traverse underwater worlds, fantastic lands, mysterious forests and unusual caves that will make us reflect on the future of the planet we inhabit.

So we dive into an ocean made from recycled materials which highlights the reduction of coral reefs where jellyfish resist the passage of time.

We can also go into a cave of 44,000 plastic bags devised by Goszczynska, the same amount that is used in the state of New York every minute.

Also, you can interact with the environment at all times through your smartphone, scanning QR codes to expand information or contemplate the marine life under your feet.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

At the end of the exhibition there a room where visitors can express their intention to help in the fight against environmental threats.

And that help translates into small everyday gestures such as reducing plastic consumption, not wasting food, recycling, etc.
