The long-awaited light show Nature on is one of the most anticipated events of the Christmas and this year you can visit from November 2 to January 16 in the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid, an emblematic place that will be filled with colored lights to walk among.
This year's edition, named Explorium is a maritime adventure where the ocean, through its flora and fauna, it will rock us in its waves until it takes us to remote places in a light experience where we get carried away by the magic of nature ", describe from the organization.
The Explorium immersive experience, created by the producer LETSGO is presented as "an odyssey where you let yourself be trapped by everything that lives in this immense ocean of light and sensations”.
The walk of approximately 1.5 kilometers will be illuminated by one and a half million colored LED lights linked by more than 30 kilometers of wiring. In the last edition there were a total of 14 installations, and this time the event is made up of 16 outside and six inside that offer a proposal more impressive than ever.

In this edition the outside is a tribute to the maritime expedition of the 16th century that began Fernando de Magallanes and culminated Juan Sebastián Elcano heading to an unknown world; "An adventure to distant lands that forever changed our way of seeing the world, which marked the first trip around the world and which from 2019 to 2022 celebrates its 500th anniversary", they add from LETSGO.
THE ROUTE
the fantastic universe of Nature On Explorium It is made up 21 stops that will make us dream with our eyes open and enjoy the impressive light display that they have prepared this year.
The first thing we will see when starting the adventure is 'Ocean' , in which the iconic trees at the entrance of the Garden light up with the tones of the ocean and the rhythm of the waves.
In 'Sea of leds' , 15 kilometers of led lights turn this area of the Royal Botanical Garden into a dreamlike and sparkling Atlantic Ocean while in ‘ Sea serpents', these aquatic beings they seem to swim towards you as you make your way through the garden.
The fourth stop is 'Threshold of the expedition', because it's time to get on a ship! Docked in the middle of the garden promenade, you will be able to cross it, surround it and enjoy its light.
after traversing the 'Current', the 'Oleaje', the 'Tide' and the 'Fontines' you will arrive at ' Syzygy' (the conjunction or opposition of the moon with the sun and the Earth or other planets) and then enter the 'Storm' and land in ' Plankton'.
At the next point of the route you will come across the ' Musical Tides', the 'Jellyfish' and, be careful, the 'Sea Monster'.
The installations that go from number 15 to 20 are one of the novelties of this year's edition and are titled 'Botanical expeditions' . It is an immersive exhibition of light art inside the museum building based on images from the archives of the Royal Botanic Garden (€4).
The light path ends at the end of the 'Tunnel' . Go through it and enjoy everything that surrounds you: projections, light shows and music before your adventure comes to an end
Land in sight! The 'Christmas lighting' ends this journey across the Atlantic Ocean with the beautiful Christmas lights that fill the Royal Botanic Garden with magic at nightfall.
PRACTICAL DATA
The show can be enjoyed from November 2, 2021 to January 16, 2022 (except on December 24 and 31), Monday to Sunday, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. with passes every 15 minutes (last screening at 10:45 p.m.). On November 2 the doors will open at 7:30 p.m.
The tickets, which are already on sale, can be purchased through its website with a price that goes from 11 euros (children) and from 13.50 euros (adults). There are also promotions for the purchase of four tickets or more.
In previous editions, tickets sold out in less than two weeks so run! Also, this year Nature on disembarks in Valencia with the show aquatic from November 25 to January 16, with a unique route in the Oceanographic Valencia.
