Madrid Craft Week 2020: a week by and for crafts
Madrid Craft Week is the long-awaited event in Madrid that promotes and promotes crafts and manual processes resulting in unique products and experiences. Be part of the new platform “We will come back if you come back” , an initiative that aims to support commercial and hospitality sectors with the purpose of recover the pulse of economic activity of the neighborhoods and commercial areas of Madrid. The great craft week will take place from July 13 to 19 , gathering to more than 50 creators, designers, brands, restaurants and stores with the sole objective of valuing concepts such as creativity, imagination, uniqueness, passion and artistic ability.
The program will allow visitors create your own shopping itinerary, meet the creators and have access to exclusive exhibitions, demonstrations, events and workshops (among other many activities ). All disciplines, in all their many forms, are more than welcome: Accessories, Floral decoration, Fashion, Tailoring (shoes), Headgear, Jewellery, Complements, Art and galleries, Antiques, Gastronomy and a long etc. All this following the safety protocol and social distancing that is in force according to health regulations at the time of said celebration.
The activities of Madrid Craft Week will take place in different establishments distributed in the most representative neighborhoods of the capital (Salamanca, Justice, Center, The Letters… and many more! ). And in this extensive geography, a protagonist: the handmade product handmade in Madrid and other cities in Spain.
“Madrid Craft Week reflects a global trend, with increasingly demanding visitors who seek local product , mostly made in Madrid. The artisans who participate, offer beauty objects and show the blossoming of crafts connecting the most traditional heritage to contemporary brands that have known reinvent yourself , offering a unique experience", they comment from the organization.
Also, during this edition , there will be a special activation in the main streets of Neighborhood of the letters , in collaboration with the Association The Street Letters : Lope de Vega, Cervantes, León, Almadén, San Pedro and Moratín, among others, will constitute a backbone from the entire neighborhood. The objective is that of reactivate the return to trade , reinforcing the image of Madrid through special exhibitions . We will return to the Barrio de las Letras and we will do it like never before.
The shop windows of the establishments will be decorated with literary messages linked to the crafts and the art of creation. In addition, the neighbors Neighborhood of the letters join the project in a precious contest to decorate their balconies with prize for the winner of €200 that you can spend on your favorite trade and, in this way, join forces in the objective common of embellish the letters.
