Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer They were two classmates at the Upright Citizens Brigade improvisation and comedy school when in 2009 they devised Broad City , sketches of two twentysomethings surviving in new york . Comedian, and Tina Fey's best friend, she decided to produce the series for them and make the leap to television . Next to Girls, his vision of New York is absolutely badass. and terribly real . For the two actresses, screenwriters and creators of Broad City , New York is his source of inspiration.
