Today we present a new type of glamping that comes from nothing less than Yosemite National Park and takes us to the Wild West: sleep in one of the wagons used by the pioneers of the Oregon Trail – although these have air conditioning and king-size beds.
Glamping in the Wild West
The 'Conestoga' cars were used to tour the famous Oregon Trail (Oregon Trail), one of the main migration routes in the United States in the late 18th century.
Located about 22 miles from the west gate of Yosemite National Park, Yosemite Pines Resort is the first resort in Northern California to offer the chance to sleep in wagons used by pioneers of the oregon trail more than a century ago.
Of course, the current Conestoga are much bigger than the originals and are equipped with heating and air conditioning, king-size beds, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker –although they recommend trying the freshly brewed coffee every morning at the campfire next to the car–.
The largest has capacity for six people
"The two cars at Yosemite Pines are capable of four and six people. They also include a picnic table and grill", they comment from the resort's communication department.
If you are left wanting more, you can try the luxury caravans 34' Airstream, 34' Silver Avion, Silver or one of the cozy cabins.
Yosemite Pines also has swimming pool, a small farm, sports facilities, open-air cinema and in summer, you can enjoy a pleasant cart ride.
