Hotel of the week: Can Lluc, calm rural tourism
The agrotourism project of Can Lluc saw the light in the year 2000 thanks to the efforts of Lucas and Tina , those responsible for this oasis in the countryside of Ibiza . The estate has a history, since it belonged to Lucas's great-grandfather and he was a dry land and quite barren in which they lived modestly with their sheep and pigs in the main house, the same one that It is now used for breakfast and houses three of the twenty rooms that the hotel offers. Lucas lived on the other side of the mountain and would go through the woods to visit his family, but then he would go back to his house because there was literally no room for everyone there.
After studying Law and Economics in Madrid and dedicating himself to real estate business, he decided invest all his effort in recovering this wonderful place. First they fixed a small part and then, little by little, they expanded to what it is today, a paradise full of trees and flowers. centennial carob trees that currently shade the garden tables, oleanders, mulberry trees, bougainvillea, jasmine, gallants at night, rosemary hedges... an explosion of vegetation wherever you look.
You feel it? It's relaxation
The pool calls to rest and to let yourself be invaded by laziness in very comfortable beds where you can lie down to read and relax in the shade. accept children , but it is a silent place where the only thing you perceive is the sound of the cicadas. The villas have a terrace and private garden and a fountain in which the water is in continuous movement and invites absolute calm.
Lucas tells us that they open practically all year round " by vocation " and, once the summer season is over, so complicated this year, they also organize events, yoga and cooking workshops . Everything to make you feel at home... or better yet, imbued with the family spirit that both the owners and the team transmit at all times.

The neighborhood : the closest town is San Rafael, but in Can Lluc the only neighbors are the mountains and the valley that surrounds it.
Sustainability: They have their own water well, recovered from the old one. Almost all the people who work are local and cook with products from the area.
Do you make an aperitif?
Accessibility : you move everywhere on foot, there are no elevators. Many of the rooms do not require climbing any steps.

How to get : plane or boat to Ibiza (with Baleària from Dénia and Valencia) and from there 20 minutes by car.
Points of interest : when you enter Can Lluc the only thing you want is not to move. But, if you dare to go for a walk, the towns of San Rafael and Santa Gertrudis are very authentic and perfect for dining out or doing some shopping.
