After days of intense work, creativity leaves its mark on the walls of the Glorieta de Embajadores, Miguel Servet and Mesón de Paredes . In this edition, Muros Tabacalera 2016 (a Madrid Street Art Project project for the General Subdirectorate for the Promotion of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports) brings out its most natural side.

“ This year we have started from the theme of Urban Natures and like life in the city, with its advantages, it also has the counterpart of environmental and noise pollution and the lack of green spaces. The artists who have participated in Muros 2016 have each addressed this issue within their own style, some more explicitly (such as Doa Oa or Gola Hunduny ), others adapting their usual style to this leitmotiv (such as Btoy or Alice Pasquini ) and others reflecting more broadly about the "evils" of life in the city and how nature can counteract them (such as Animalitland, Chincheta or Dadi Dreucol)”, explains Guillermo, co-founder of the Street Art Project, to Traveler.

Thumbtack , Okuda , Digo Diego , Julieta XLF... and so on, up to twenty-five creators have left their mark with the aim of enjoying art in public spaces. “Those who come to see the Walls will find a common link in this sense, but they will also have the opportunity to learn about the work of artists who until now had not painted in Madrid in this format, as well as see new pieces by well-known local artists ”, says William.
