It is not trivial that the majority of requests that arrive at The Night Sky office are wedding gifts and anniversaries, births and birthdays.
“Most of our star maps are created to recall a starry night sky from happy occasions but also of important and significant moments in the lives of our clients; we feel privileged to be able to share a small part of these moments with our clients, it is like seeing day by day that love is everywhere, it is something powerful and inspiring ”, says Ciara.

HOW TO HUNT THE STARS?
Upon entering the ** The Night Sky website ** we find a calendar in which we can choose any date in the past but also in the future . What technology is used to show us the sky of that last night or what will happen?
Ciara comments that The Night Sky uses the catalog of star locations from the hipparcos satellite : “astronomers have studied and measured the position of the stars and the Earth's orbit around the Sun; using these calculations, mathematics and science, it is possible to calculate which stars will be above us anywhere on the planet at any time Ciara adds.
“A little fact: the stars we see each night change with each season in an annual cycle. The stars you see on your birthday or other special date will be the same every year. So if your star map is from 40 years ago, you can still go out on the night of that date, this year, and see the same stars above you Ciara points out. “We call what we do 'Wall Art' but, as she was commenting, each map is very precise”.

CREATE YOUR STAR MAP WITH A COUPLE OF CLICKS
Once you have marked the date and the place, you can choose between five different designs and, if you want, that the parallels and meridians or the constellations appear (or not). You can customize it with a headline, a message, the specific coordinates of the place... and when you save your map you will be able to access a digital copy to see your map in detail.
The print quality is one of the issues that matters most in The Night Sky team and that is why both the ink (only UV, ultraviolet, light stabilizer inks are used) such as paper (190g, matte, acid-free) have been carefully chosen to ship durable maps to anywhere in the world.
The impression It is done through a process called gliclee (perfect for art prints) and the color management (constantly taking care of the calibration of printers, monitors, etc.) is vital for The Night Sky project. Thus, Ciara points out that these maps can last over 100 years under ideal conditions.
