The Circle Food

Bowls of colors, I'll have a good time...

We are increasingly concerned about a healthy diet. It is a fact. The consumption of organic products (organic, really) is still far from that of other countries, but in Spain it does not stop growing. The result is that more and more restaurants and shops are dedicated to healthier cuisine. There are more and more. Maybe. But not so many yet.

This is what the two friends, two young women, thought when they saw that “Among the multiple gastronomic options in Madrid to eat every day, there were few where you could eat well, healthy, easy and balanced” . And from that thought and that desire to set up a place with which they identified and where they themselves would go to eat every day, The Circle Food emerged.

The Circle Food

To take away and to drink.

"We are inspired by other countries where more sites like this are already seen to create something new," they say. A place where you can have breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner. Or simply go for an aperitif. They could not forget that they are located at the entrance to Ponzano, one of the favorite streets for Madrid snacks and in The Circle Food There is also, but healthier: “We have hummus, olives…”.

But its star dish, which is already announced in the name, is the bowl. They worked with experts in gastronomy and nutrition to design bowl recipes and complete salads that provide what is necessary in a meal. Recipes, such as Mexican, Vietnamese or poké, that they create in the same place in front of the client, from products that are always fresh and ecological. In fact, they call their refrigerator and exhibitor “the garden”.

Create your bowl!

Although the recipes will vary according to the seasonal products, they always have between seven and eight available, plus the ability to create your own bowl. “With two bases, which can be quinoa, lettuce, rice…; four basics and a rich one, which we call: salmon, chicken… the contribution of proteins”, they say. Then you can add the X factor, the crunch, for example; and choose between the different dressings.

In addition, they give the option of turn these bowls, everything inside them, into wraps. And, at noon, you can complete the meal with the cream of the day, which changes weekly.

They open very early every day and the breakfast they have already become a neighborhood place-to-be. “They work very well for us. smoothie bowls, we also offer porridge, and cereal or black bread toast”, they count. There are sweet breakfasts with biscuits or buns that they make; savory breakfasts, like salmon and avocado toast, and breakfasts that fall in between, like the peanut butter toast with baked banana and a little honey.

The Circle Food

How is a round day for you?

The Circle Food is the round food. With the name they refer to those bowls ("Everything is eaten in something round", they say), but they also wanted to talk "from the circle of friendship". "We want it to be a close place, where you come back, where you recognize who serves you and they know what you want."

And, of course, they also speak “from the circle of nature”: “It is an ecological, bio and fresh product”.

WHY GO

Because it is a great option for a healthy but delicious meal, at the time you want and in the neighborhood you always go to. In a “diaphanous space in which the product is the protagonist”. On the ground floor, the color is provided by the yellow sidewalks facing the street, the products and the logo that the studio has designed for them. Rodriguez and Cano. Upstairs there are sofas and corners to spend long afternoons and a hand-painted mural that reads "It's my Circle Day."

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Since the premises on this corner of Chamberí were large enough, they decided to dedicate part of the space to creating a coworking for professionals who share the same philosophy about what it means to have a round day.
