One of those lights can now decorate your living room
Night falls and the show begins. During the first five minutes of each hour, the Eiffel Tower crackles, blinks tirelessly, to the sound of the 20,000 light bulbs that cover its structure. Thus, dressing its most characteristic monument as a party, Paris celebrated the turn of the millennium.
eighteen years later, 450 of these bulbs already melted, they have been disassembled and transformed into limited edition decoration objects available to anyone who can pay **the 540 euros** to which the price of each diamond of lumiere (Diamond of light).
Winking at its industrial past, these unique pieces have been placed on red steel bases reminiscent of the material that Gustave Eiffel used in his day to build the tower.
And no, they have not been retouched or subjected to any type of repair, in such a way that each Diamond of light preserves the traces, in the form of imperfections, from almost 20 years shining on the French capital.
So now it's their turn to rest. So, once you have it in your possession, remember that it is a purely decorative object, which cannot be reused as a lamp.
