The night started with the model and actress Laura Sánchez welcoming us to an awards ceremony, the Conde Nast Traveler Awards 2019 , which this year celebrated its eleventh edition with the intention of continuing to pay tribute to all those people and institutions that make travel a real pleasure.
"Eleven years are enough to travel to many destinations, discover a lot of charming hotels and get lost in the gastronomy of places you had never heard of before. This year we want to travel to the Moon", she assured her referring to the sidereal theme of the party this 2019 before giving the floor to David Moralejo, director of Conde Nast Traveler.

"Why this about the Moon? In January 2019 we already took off with a cover between craters that did not go unnoticed and we wanted to pay homage to the fiftieth anniversary of the Apollo XI moon landing , which is now celebrated in July; and this second tribute is because Who better than us to celebrate the most amazing, most 'moon-like', most galactic, most unique trips?

The eleventh edition of the #Traveler2019 Awards took place in one of the most captivating places in Madrid, the beautiful Embassy of Italy , under the starry sky of a night that had more to do with summer than spring.

Wait a minute, did you see that? Yes, it was a shooting star, and with it, our only and most important wish: that Condé Nast Traveler magazine continues to accompany you wherever you go , being your source of inspiration, your compass to guide you –and also to deviate from the marked route–.
Because at the end of the journey, it is you, dear reader, who helps us to continue discovering and scoring excellence in this sector.

And from one shooting star to another: Bianca Brandolini, our international guest, she arrived at the party in an imposing Maserati illuminating, even more if possible, the garden of the Embassy.
In her veins runs French, Italian and Brazilian blood Perhaps that is why one of Bianca Brandolini's passions is traveling, discovering new places and getting lost. But last night it was impossible to lose sight of the model, because it was up to her to collect the award #YoSoyTraveler 2019 from the hands of David Moralejo.
“It is a very special award because it recognizes that traveler of the year. It is a recently created award that we invented last year because we wanted to show those traveling people, globetrotters, who represent all those values that we defend here and, on this occasion, she is a woman who fascinated me years ago with that impressive Dolce & Gabbana campaign. We have seen her on catwalks, as an ambassador for many firms, she is an international benchmark. We tried our best to get her to be our cover, but she was always traveling and we saw that, if she always travels, that was the cover. In the end she decided to show us her Marrakech " , explained Moralejo.

"I am very happy to be back in Madrid, especially at the Italian Embassy. I want to thank Condé Nast Traveler Spain and David for this great honor," declared Brandolini when collecting the award, and later joked "Yes, I love to travel, I want to continue doing it, I love discovering new cultures. That is why I think we should start talking about new destinations, I hope soon”.
Our most special award, the one that recognizes the trajectory, both professional and personal, of the traveler Traveler, fits the model, actress and socialite like a glove, since behind her back she has many countries and corners traveled. She received us in her beloved Marrakech.
And from there came a most captivating cover: a spectacular B, as her friends call her, posing in the imposing Agafay desert, 30 kilometers from the Moroccan capital.
The delivery of the rest of the awards, conducted by our beloved Laura Sánchez, was carried out by the actors Hiba Abouk, Andrea Duro, Javier Pereira, Mariam Hernandez, Alex Sauras, Carlos Francino, Alfonso Bassave and Julia deCastro.

The actress Hiba Abouk She was in charge of delivering the first prize of the night, belonging to the category Sustainable & Eco Traveler. The winner was the project Ecoalf Ocean Waste , decoration that she collected Javier Goyeneche , president and founder of ECOALF.
The Spanish wellness sector also had its corresponding award, which was delivered by Julia de Castro to the **Buchinger Wilhelmi Clinic (Marbella)**, an award that Katharina Rohrer and Victor Wilhelmi, the fourth generation of the family, went up to collect.
In the international section, the Condé Nast Traveler Award for wellness and health was presented by the actress Mariam Hernandez to the Anantara Seteais Spa (Tivoli Palacio de Seteais, Portugal), an award that was collected by Joana Jeunehomme , Regional Director of Marketing and Communication of Minor Hotels Portugal.
THE STAR DESTINATIONS
The categories of National Destination and International Destination of the Condé Nast Travel Awards are always one of the most anticipated.
This year, the Condé Nast Traveler National Destination Award it was for Asturias West Coast , delivered by the Asturian Miguel Carrizo and picked up by Julio Manuel Gonzalez Zapico , General Director of Commerce and Tourism of the Government of the Principality of Asturias.

In the category of International Destination, the award went to the city of **Manchester (United Kingdom) **, which went up to receive the His Excellency British Ambassador to Spain Simon Manley and Andy Parkinson , Communications Manager of the Manchester Tourist Office.
