One of the most beautiful royal gardens in France
Once upon a time, in the commune of Villandry, in the heart of the Loire Valley , a castle capable of dazzling anyone with the charm of its gardens: one dedicated to the sun, another to water, another to love, one where aromatic herbs grow, a labyrinth and an orchard , which played with the colors of the vegetables and flowers planted in it to simulate a multicolored chessboard.

During those next Friday and Saturday, as it happened last July 5 and 6 , a light show will take over every corner of the Château de Villandry estate: nothing more and nothing less than 2000 candles will be in charge of competing with the starry sky of summer nights , stealing the attention of every passerby of these royal gardens.
This event, named 'The Nights of a Thousand Fires' , not only provides the opportunity to contemplate the beauty of the gardens by candlelight, but during the evening, there will be numerous surprises such as performances in period costumes and dance demonstrations under the theme of this edition: the Renaissance.
On the other hand, as in the century XVI the nobility valued art in all its facets, from equestrian exhibitions, in which horses and riders performed acrobatics, to painting, these two magical nights have set out to make us travel back in time thanks to spectacular horse shows and the projection of Italian Renaissance works on the façade of the castle.

And as a finishing touch? Fireworks , whose explosion of colors will be reflected in the large pond of the Water Garden , thus crowning this journey until the days when Jean Breton , the first owner of the castle, strolled through his beautiful estate.
