In Madrid there will be no beach, but there will be whales

Whale

María Cristina, the ceramic whale by Guille García-Hoz that serves as a vase and loudspeaker

Ceramic wolf and deer pendants, vases with ears, pig lamps... the pieces by the interior designer Guille García-Hoz are already an icon of new Madrid design. Always paying homage to the fauna... and always humanizing any space to make it warmer and more welcoming.

And all in white “because it is an eternal color”, as Guille himself clarifies. Eternas have also been her pieces for a decade, consolidated as an aesthetic resource for more and more fans looking to decorate the favorite corners of their homes or make the perfect gift.

The new era of souvenirs is today linked to pieces like this whale, a vase/speaker which, like all of Guille's creations, bears the name of one of the people he loves the most. In this case, her mother's, Maria Cristina.

“Although at first she didn't like it very much, now she's already demanding one from me as a transfer of name. I already had one, for the record, but when changing the width of the mobiles we had to redo the mold, blessed Talavera Ceramic Center!" says Guille.

"Also has a slight reverberant effect reminiscent of the sea. All the pieces are my favorites, but María Cristina is special”, says the designer on the eve of celebrating the tenth anniversary of his signature.

An example of entrepreneurship that continues to inspire new talent.
