Puerto de Sagunto has a new beach watchman
On July 1, the beach of Puerto de Sagunto launched the rescue of bathers with drones. To do this, he incorporated his team of vigilantes to AUXdron Lifeguard, a drone with a design created specifically to perform this function , tells Traveler.es Adrián Plazas, CEO of General Drones.

In addition to rescue work, the drone also performs surveillance and prevention work in areas where the view from the towers does not reach, when required by the beach coordinator.
The rescue of bathers with a drone is already a reality
AUXdron Lifeguard is managed from the ground by remote control, it has GPS and telemetry, it can reach up to 90 km/h, has a range of 30 minutes, is waterproof and withstands winds of about 30 km/h They indicate on their website.
The novelty of this drone is in the aerodynamic casing. "Is about a waterproof drone that survives the conditions of humidity and salinity typical of the beach , and that if it falls into the water it does not sink. It is also designed to resist the incidence of the sun and to house floats inside.
The rescue work with a drone will continue until August 31 on the beach of Puerto de Sagunto. “We chose this beach because it is outside controlled airspace and this allows the drone to take flight whenever necessary and without stepping over people. In addition, it is a beach that has had problems with some bathers in other years and this may allow us to carry out a rescue”. For now, and luckily as Plazas points out, "We haven't had to do any serious intervention."
