Few hotels can boast of breed arabian thoroughbreds and much less, if any, to have an expert 'horse whisperer' that teaches guests to interact and communicate with them.

This is what ** Sadek El Bahjaoui ,** a prodigious equestrian artist, does in The Selman , where horses reside in about ultra-sleek luxury stables – spa included – designed by Jacques Garcia, just like the rest of the resort.

Sadek is in charge of the equestrian shows that take place at the parties in the hotel gardens and of giving private dressage classes , on mount or in freedom, but the final objective is develop the bond and trust between humans and animals.

This proximity is what the artist most appreciates. “It is a different relationship than the one we usually have with other pets. . Horses are very sensitive beings ", assures the artist with a broad smile while summarizing his 'magic' in three codes: "Respect, connection and 'come with me': the horse has to know that you are the one who sets the direction".

Sadek learned to ride at the age of seven in the Atlas Mountains . "My older brother took me to learn a trade that would allow us to get ahead," he admits.

"Passion came later and now it is a necessity." After nine years in the circus in France and 17 touring the world with equestrian theatres, Sadek dreamed of returning to his country to “do something special related to horses”.

The opportunity was given Bennani Smires family , owner of The Selman, who is united by his deep love for horses. "The Koran says that 'if you are good with horses, God will be good to you,'" concludes the artist.
