Traveler Awards 2014: the golden ones of travel
One maxim per flag: wanderlust . Some special guests: the great representatives of the world of travel . One goal: to know who they are the best in the world of travel , the top of the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List. This is how we celebrated last night in the Cecilio Rodríguez Gardens in Madrid the sixth edition of the Traveler Awards, which is more of a party than an award: ** a tribute to the pleasure of traveling summed up in 23 awards **.
The best national urban hotel, the best international spa, the best country... Our Gold List had been in charge of keeping an eye on the most outstanding hotels, destinations, transport and travel products: all that remained was to reveal which would be the best.
An acid and funny Michi Primo de Rivera was in charge of directing the ceremony, well accompanied by great personalities for the delivery of each award: the Director of the Condé Nast Traveler magazine passed through the stage Sandra del Rio , the President of Condé Nast Spain Xavier Pascual , the newscaster Elizabeth Jimenez, Genevieve Casanova, the fashion blogger Mary Leon , actor and model Ivan Sanchez , the actress Caroline Bang , the designer Jorge Vazquez the elite athlete Almudena Cid , the actor Gonzalo Castro and the chef Darius Barrio.
They were in charge of awarding the prizes to the traditional categories and also the three categories, special mentions, such as the Traveler of the Year Award , delivered to the chef Ferran Adria ; the Entrepreneur of the Year Award , a Gabriel Escarrer , founder of Sol Meila; the Traveler Spirit Award singer raphael . As a novelty, this year a category was added, the Solidarity Award Around the World what did you receive Ninon Völkers for his educational activity in Africa.
