Restaurant Week where to go to make the most of it

Shall we give ourselves a tribute?

Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, São Paulo… Restaurant Week is a classic in cities around the world. They call it 'Week' (Semana) , although it usually lasts more than seven days, in which some of the best restaurants in each city create special menus at more than affordable prices . ElTenedor organized the initiative for the first time in Madrid and Barcelona last year and, after its success, is repeated this year with a new addition, Valencia, and doubling the number of participating restaurants to more than 200.

Restaurant Week will be held in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia from October 26 to November 6 and the targeted restaurants will offer lunch or dinner menus (or lunch and dinner) for 25 euros per person. And, in addition, here is a solidarity lap: one euro from each menu will be donated to the Help in Action project Here also against child poverty in Spain. Affordable and supportive gastronomy, what more could you ask for? A guide on how to make the most of it, since there are few days and many restaurants. Here is a selection to take advantage of the opportunity to try some of the most fashionable gastronomic proposals in these three capitals or, finally, go to a classic.

IN MADRID...

Only in the capital there are more than 100 locals signed up. We recommend a few, but it is worth taking a look at the WHOLE list.

Dome by Roncero and Cabrera: one of the most appetizing 'gastro' proposals in the city combines the cuisine of Paco Roncero and the cocktails of Diego Cabrera . The special menu of 25 euros gives you a choice between five starters (such as the Asian salad with marinated chicken with soy, sesame and ginger or the tomato salmorejo with octopus, cod and prawn ceviche) and six main (fabes, hake, oxtail…) .
