Coco Brandolini

everyone calls 'Coco' to Cornelia Brandolini d'Adda, Graduated in Political Sciences and Philosophy, highly educated conversationalist and key piece of the team of Dolce & Gabbana high fashion. However, she is aware that many know her for being Bianca Brandolini's 'anonymous' sister, the influential model who even starred on the cover of these pages in May 2019.

He does not care. Because Coco doesn't even have her Instagram account open and, when we met at the Nicolás Cortés gallery in Madrid –where a few months ago the successful exhibition The evolution of portraiture and fashion since the s. XV to XX, in collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana–, received us without ceremony and with a clean face, a colossal smile and a desire to talk, above all, about travel: “Now, with my three daughters, it is not as easy for me to go backpacking as before, but in my memory the days that I traveled through Laos continue, which touched me especially, just like Myanmar, India... I also remember Guatemala with great affection, we went with hardly any money and we lived incredible anecdotes. Without a doubt, traveling gives you the best memories; traveling is emotion,” she states.

During the pandemic, despite the limitations, “I also had the opportunity to experience unique moments, such as visiting the Uffizi Gallery in Florence with my family, in complete solitude. And that, despite the harshness of what we have experienced, was magical because overtourism had made us forget such sensations. The human being needs be positive and learn, also from the pandemic, that it is time to change his attitude towards the world in which he lives... and through which he travels”.

Coco, who years ago worked with Oscar de la Renta, Bottega Veneta and even as a stylist for our fellow Vanity Fair stylists, she tells us about her favorite cities in Italy: “Notto and Naples they have a very powerful, unique atmosphere; Bolgheri, in Tuscany, it is a dream villa; Y Milan, where I live, always gives off energy, with places like the wonderful and decadent Villa Necchi Campiglio, of the architect Piero Portaluppi, or the latte, a very small restaurant, very authentic, that I always recommend”.

Interior design, art, fashion... everything comes together in the talk with Coco, who, before saying goodbye to him, tells us about his next destinations: "I am anxious to return to Cairo, a city that fascinates me, and I would love to get to know Bolivia."
