Harley Weir is not just any fashion photographer, and neither is the summer collection of Audemars Piguet . So the synergy achieved by the London artist between haute couture and haute horlogerie for the new Swiss watch manufacture campaign is simply brilliant. As bright as the Frosted Gold model, an 18-carat white gold piece with a blue-toned Tapisserie dial.

THE INSPIRATION
The filmmaker also tells that, when preparing the photo shoot, she thought about how a watch is made and in its different materials. She then she imagined how is a woman , what constitutes her personality, what her character is like, who she is… "Fashion has always interested me in that sense as well, in character building . I am fascinated by the idea that people visibly wear a part of our being, and with the body we can show our desires", points out Harley Weir.
Under this premise, the images taken by the photographer for the Audemars Piguet summer campaign portray a kaleidoscopic woman, elegant, unique... as multifaceted as the mechanical models from the Royal Oak collection.

THE ROYAL OAK MODELS
The first 34mm Royal Oak automatic for smaller wrists is made entirely of black ceramic, a light material but incredibly resistant and scratch resistant that protects the movement like a real armor. In addition, they have been added rose gold accents to create a refined two-tone contrast. and the little ones Carved pictures on the fine dial plate of metal? the new model 18K White Gold Royal Oak 34mm stands out for its dazzling Frosted Gold effect adorning the case and bracelet. Inspired by an ancient Florentine jewelry technique, this finish has been reinterpreted by the jewelry designer Carolina Bucci, who has helped the artisans of the manufacture to implement this technique, which consists of open tiny indentations in the gold surface with a diamond-tipped tool to create a sparkling, gemstone-like effect, like diamond dust.
In line with the design of the watch, the new light blue PVD coated dial subtly plays with ambient light and the 'Grande Tapisserie' motif is accompanied by white gold hands and indexes matching the box.

The new Royal Oak Chronograph Automatic 38mm is so special that it is only available in the Audemars Piguet boutiques. It's about a 18k rose gold watch solid with a bezel set with multiple cut amethysts baguette, gems that outline and complement the shades of purple dial. Color that, by the way, is obtained by means of a new treatment that consists of apply several layers of purple PVD so that, depending on the angle of inclination of the piece and the play of light, the resulting color range oscillates from pink to purple, going through all the shades of blue.

For its part, the clock Royal Oak Double Skeleton Balance 41 mm draws attention to rose gold bracelet with Frosted Gold finish, as well as the bezel set with cut multicolored gems baguette, that create a rainbow effect that illuminates the slate gray skeleton movement.
