Nope, at Easter we are not going to spend our time making many scales and visiting the Far East.
We will stay in Spanish territory , This is what 27% of those surveyed say, confirming that they will make national getaways; although yes, we will try to know new places of our country . In fact, 9 out of 10 have recognized this, and only 9% usually repeat a vacation destination.
And what will we want? 67% prefer to enjoy city tourism , versus 33% who will choose places to rest.
Cristina Ávila, spokesperson for Skyscanner, points out that “ Holy Week It is, without a doubt, one of the most outstanding dates of the year to travel. In fact, in terms of flight searches, it is the third time of the year with the most demand after summer and Christmas. However, our data show that It is the time with the most searches for short or medium distance flights (76%)”.

To carry out this study, it has been carried out a survey of 900 Skyscanner users between March 20 and 27. The data corresponds to the percentage of flight searches for each most demanded national destination with respect to the total number of flight searches to Spanish destinations in the Easter of 2018 and 2017.
In addition, the percentage of searches for domestic flights, European and long distance with respect to the total number of searches carried out for Easter 2018.

THE FAVORITES
Madrid, Barcelona, L a Palma, Tenerife and Gran Canaria are the five favorite national destinations of the travelers surveyed for second consecutive Year.
While the first two, Madrid and Barcelona, receive the interest of a third of tourists, The Palma keeps 10% Y the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria with 7% . And interestingly, only one of them escapes experiencing the reduction in traveler interest: Gran Canaria increases its searches by 3%.

What other cities will we visit this Easter? These five are followed, with little difference, by other locations such as Santander, Jerez de la Frontera, La Coruna , Vigo, La Palma, Malaga, Seville, Asturias, Valladolid and Granada.
These ten are the ones that have grown the most in terms of the percentage of flight searches in national territory. ** Santander is the one that has grown the most with 55%**, so has Jerez with 37%, La Coruña with 28%, and Vigo and La Palma with 27%.
Malaga and Seville are around an increase of 20% and Asturias, 13%, while Valladolid and Granada 12% respectively.

How much will we spend on average at Easter? According to the Skyscanner study, 69% of Spaniards will have a budget of about 250 euros.
And 7 out of 10 respondents say they have a budget of between 100 and 250 euros. Only 21% who plan to invest up to 500 euros and 10% more than 500 euros.
