Do you dare to make and assemble your own gingerbread furniture?

This Christmas, IKEA has swapped screws and wood for gingerbread and icing to sweeten our home and awaken our pastry talent.

For this reason, the Swedish giant has launched Gingerbread Höme, a kit with everything you need to make your own gingerbread furniture and that you can download and print at home.

Easy, fast and delicious!

Kit includes furniture-shaped cookie cutters and easy instructions: furnishing your house (or rather, your dollhouse or ersatz) has never been so delicious!

These are miniature edible versions of iconic IKEA furniture such as the Billy bookcase, the Strandmon chair, the Malm bed frame, the Lack table or the Strandmon armchair.

The kit includes an instruction manual like the real furniture

Just cut out the templates, cut the gingerbread pieces using them, bake, assemble and decorate. Oh, and eat, because you won't be able to resist! You can download the assembly instructions, very similar to those for real furniture, here.

In the instructions you will find the inventory, step-by-step illustrations and even a full page of templates, showing each of the different elements that make up a piece of furniture.

Templates can be cut out of the instruction manual and traced on the dough

Do you want to take it to the next level? Download the 3D printing files to make reusable cookie cutters.

Don't forget to share your creation using the hashtag #IKEAHoliday.
