RockHouse, in addition to its cabins on the cliffs, is known for your project with the Jamaican community . From the hotel they offer guests something more than a simple vacation, that is, the opportunity to know the island with volunteers.
The hotel's owner, Paul Salmon, fell in love with Jamaica after leaving his job as a Wall Street salesman. “During my years in finance, I was closely associated with charities, such as schools in central New York. So in 1994, when we created Rockhouse, I thought about the hotel from a philosophical perspective, like a sustainable and responsible property ”, he points out.
That's why he created the Rockhouse Foundation with which he has raised up to 5 million dollars, which he has invested in the construction of six schools, libraries and reconstruction of other spaces.
