shell-shaped , wild and protected by vertical Rock Cliffs, the beauty of this clean beach with crystal clear waters is no longer a secret. Do not miss it!

Located fifteen kilometers from the beautiful town of Cudillero , in direction to Galicia , the beach is part of the Castaneras Parish.

After hitting the road A8 westbound You will need to take exit 441 and continue west again towards Castañeras on the N632. There you will already find the indicative panels that announce the beach.

You can leave the car parked either in the town of Castañeras -the best option if you want to avoid the frustration of the dreaded "I can't find a parking" moment-, or on the side of the road -basically, wherever you can- or in some of the meadows that the natives enable as "parking lots" in summer.

The good thing is that the road is not two-way, to get out you will not have to turn around. Regardless of what you do with the car, the last leg -approximately half a kilometer- you have to do it on foot or by bike , as it runs along a forest road from which you can enjoy the coast, the Cantabrian breeze and the green pastures that surround it.

Be attentive, at some point along the way you will find the viewpoint that opens over El Gavieiru , with incredible views of the beach and the spectacular wild nature that surrounds it.

The steep zig-zag stairs that save the cliff are the only access to the beach, when you see them your destination will be very close. If you don't have a car, you can get to Novellana by public transport and from there walk the barely 3 kilometers that separate this town from the Cantabrian coast.
