Directed by Iciar Bollain , the film 'El Olivo' made us reflect in 2016 on the importance of preserving our Centenary trees , the great sages of nature. It is the images of the large cork oak of the rural estate Hábitat Cigüeña Negra, which have transported us to Bollaín's film and to his landscapes in Castellón. Although on this occasion you have to travel to the Sierra de Gata in Extremadura to find this magical place.
The summer terrace of Hábitat Cigüeña Negra is a unique place in the heart of the Extremadura dehesa. Decorated with cork as a tribute to the cork oaks of the estate , its cozy bar is an ideal place to taste wines from the area accompanied by Iberian acorn-fed sausages from the estate.

Behind the farm is the Roselló family from Ibiza, owner of the Pitiusa company Carnes March and the farm with pasture and 12-room rural hotel Habitat Cigüeña Negra, who chose this beautiful corner to locate the cork oak bar , the most unique place to enjoy the sunset over the meadow and observe the peaks of the neighboring Sierra de la Malcatada throughout the summer.

Located next to the viewpoint of the stars, this spectacular circular bar that surrounds a beautiful century-old cork oak is one of the most pleasant corners to have an aperitif at noon, because the views are added to the shade and the freshness provided by its leafy glass; and the enclave of the hotel from where the best views of the dehesa are obtained when the sun goes down. And already at night, with the perfect lighting for a romantic dinner or an evening with friends.
In addition, it is close to the complex's infinity pool, so it is also ideal between baths to enjoy a selection of acorn-fed Iberian sausages made with pigs raised on the farm itself, Ibizan sobrasada, Extremaduran cheeses or exquisite gourmet preserves, many of them made in neighboring Portugal. And all this paired with local wines or with a refreshing cocktail.
