Imagine a delicious Argentinian premium dulce de leche ice cream with brownie pieces , a chantilly dipped in semisweet Italian chocolate with small pieces of caramelized peanuts, a passion fruit cheesecake ice cream or a multifruit with natural lemon juice decorated with tangerine and kiwi. All of them are part of the artisan ice cream created by Lucciano's, the new Argentine ice cream parlor, which arrives in Spain for the first time, and it does so in Barcelona.
The brand, founded by Daniel and Christian Otero in 2011 in the city of Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, already has 59 stores in Argentina, two in Uruguay, three in the United States and one in Rome , the latter recently opened and with which they began their expansion plan throughout Europe.
More than 10 years ago, father and son discovered that the ice cream industry had stopped in time. So they decided to launch this project, which combines a quality of home made ice cream with a strong commitment to innovation and technology that allows them to offer a premium product. And this is so because their ice creams are made with the best Italian raw materials and Belgian chocolates.
“Spain was the next step in the natural evolution of the Lucciano's business. We could not continue our growth in a country other than this one. We have very strong ties with Barcelona and we want everyone who lives in this city to be able to enjoy the Lucciano's experience, which goes far beyond just trying the best artisanal ice cream," says Christian Otero, founding partner of Lucciano's.
AN ICE CREAM SHOP FROM ANOTHER GALAXY
After landing in Rome (you'll find them near the Trevi Fountain) with great success, they land in Barcelona with a store that might well seem a spaceship instead of an ice cream parlor . Its blue and violet interior is inspired by space and, with an amazing play of lights, it seems that when you enter you are closer to Mars than planet Earth. The best thing is that it is unique in the world and was specifically created for the city.
“Each of our stores is special . It is not repeated and is specially created for that place and that time. This is part of what makes us unique, we bet everything to give each person who visits us a complete experience, which they will not be able to find in another ice cream parlor”, he adds.
This opening in Barcelona is the first step that the brand takes in our country and that will be consolidated over the months with the incorporation of new cities in the Spanish geography.

In the store you can choose 24 proposals of different flavors and 20 proposals of its iconic icepops with different shapes and flavors : Tonio the pig from cookies&cream, the Smile King with hazelnuts and dipped in black and white chocolate or the traditional ones Minion Ice Pops . And it is that Lucciano's is the only brand that has the rights from Universal Pictures to produce an Icepops with the appearance of this cute character.
