Amiens, more romantic than Paris?
Apart from being a beautiful city with desire (here this adjective is justified, which I avoid on many occasions), Amiens is a destination where you can enjoy tasty Picardy cuisine , of the lush green areas that extend around the river Somme, and of course, its magnificent Cathedral , one of the most impressive gothic buildings in France.

One of the most romantic ways to get to know them is with the so-called barques à cornet, elongated boats with which you can disembark while respecting the vegetation. Apart from the Hortillonnages, Amiens has, thanks to the rainy climate that characterizes Picardy, with many green areas such as the Jardin du Roy, the park of Saint-Pierre or the Magdalena Romantic Cemetery , among others.

You can have the last meal of the day at Chez Lafleur, located very close to the cathedral, where you can enjoy traditional dishes of Picardy gastronomy as the ficelle picarde , a tasty crêpe stuffed with ham and mushrooms, or the gâteau battu , a kind of brioche with which to add a sweet touch to a dinner for two. As a curiosity, the establishment receives the name of the Lafleur puppet , great defender of the local dialect.
A stone's throw from Chez Lafleur is the Hôtel Le Prieuré , an establishment located in an 18th-century house, where you can finish off a day full of walks, visits and lots and lots of love.
