When Míriam Cidrás and his partner, David Durán, came to spend the day in their van at Tuia beach never imagined that this unknown beach bar on the sand in Bueu than they were regulars would become one of the hot spots of Pontevedra summers. And much less that everything would be thanks to them.
It was six years ago when they took over the business and decided to completely change the concept. They bet heavily on creative cocktails, relaxed snacks and live concerts of indie and indie rock groups from Pontevedra and Vigo. A rare bird at that time in the area. JONKON COFFEE
The Jonkon de Bueu cafeteria is not new, in fact it has been open since 1968. But it has been Marcelo García is guilty of revitalizing this family business in which 100% organically grown Arabica coffee is now served. THE MARISTS
A twist on traditional cuisine is what chef Aarón Álvarez proposes in Os Maristas, a historic establishment in Plaza de A Verdura of Pontevedra that occupies one of the oldest houses in the city, with a Gothic window included.
But its architecture and its location are not the only attractions of this modern tapas bar that, although it retains the name of the old premises, It aims to renew the Galician flavors of yesteryear in a very visual way.
