Clandestine dinners in the fields of Ibiza

If we add the love for the alternative, the taste for good food and the inspiration that can be produced by seeing an old photo of a group of friends sitting at a long table under an olive tree (in this case this image by photographer Toni Riera)** we have as a result The Last Supper Club **. Behind this initiative is Mark Watkins , cook and company director of La Grande Bouffe Cattering .

The menu is made from local products

With The Last Supper Club, Watkins wanted share the high quality of Ibiza products and the beauty of its fields with friends, residents and visitors. The germ of this project began to take shape back in 2002, when its creator arrived on the island and decided organize picnics every spring Sunday. Whoever he wanted went and paid what he considered appropriate. All very informal, until in 2013 it was decided to continue shaping it and in 2015 it was launched, already under the name of The Last Supper Club.

They are open to everyone

These dinners are held throughout the year, except in winter, Watkins explains to Traveler.es. They plan to organize two dinners a month , although it all depends on the catering they have. And it is that the menus served are made with products from Ibiza , without great artifices so that they are the ones who speak for themselves. Hence also, that the gastronomic proposal changes with each dinner.
