The Marsh Tower (or Marsktårnet, which means "marsh tower" in Danish) will be the new landmark in this area of ​​the southern Jutland peninsula and from its viewing platform it will be possible to see all the way to the towns of Esbjerg and Herring and the island of Rømø.

The Marsh Tower rises 25 meters above the marshy lands, and the additional height will extend panoramic views from 3.6 meters at normal eye level up to 18.2 meters.

The structure, which progressively widens towards the top, is built with organic materials to emphasize the connection with the natural environment.

THE WADDEN SEA

The Wadden Sea, located between the Frisian Islands and the North Sea, is the largest tidal flat in the world and after being granted the status of a national park / nature reserve, in 2009 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

This natural space extends over 500 km and three countries (Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands). Here, twice a day, an impressive spectacle takes place, when 1,000,000,000 m3 of water moves back and forth through the depths.

The wild life is the owner and lady of the place: in the air, on the ground, in the swamp, in the trees, in the marshes... There is no other place in Denmark that welcomes so many migratory birds, both in spring and autumn, a total of 10-12 million.

In addition, the warm, shallow waters of the Wadden Sea are also the natural breeding ground for many fish species and home to the largest common seal population in Denmark.

MARSK CAMP

This spiral that takes the form of a corkscrew that winds towards the sky is located next to a new space for motorhomes called Marsk Camp, with a capacity to house 125 of these vehicles.

The reception, the cafeteria, the restaurant and the ice cream parlor they form part of the original old Hjemsted Park. In addition, there is a children's playground and a mini-golf course specially designed to spend time with the family.

The facilities, built with rustic and natural materials with a direct connection to the swamp on the outskirts, They have been decorated in a modern way and always respecting their previous architecture and origin.
