Art returns to Lavapiés with the C.A.L.L.E festival

The Lavapies neighborhood it has become a blank canvas, but not for long. One of the most popular festivals in the area returns to fill it with strokes and colors, and turn its corners into a true work of art. The festival C.A.L.L.E. It starts with a torrent of art, precisely, street and urban, but above all, with an edition full of joy.

'AnimARTE' is the name that baptizes this new episode, a declaration of intent that will be demonstrated with the 50 artistic interventions. From May 4 to 29 , the participants will be in charge of making the Lavapiés premises a mandatory stop, creating a union between street art and everyday life.

PROGRAMMING

The starting gun will be given the guest artist Miguel Angel Belinchon , better known as Belin. His street influence and his work, straddling the traditional and the contemporary, make him the perfect guest to welcome the festival. he will do it with his work Alhambra , intervened from May 4 to 6 in the Magarca furniture showcase (Sombrerería, 24).

Once this artistic parade has begun, it will be the turn of the following (and very special) guests: our elders . They will be in charge of carrying out the work Happiness , the most representative of the personality of the festival. The Wanderer shop (Amparo, 42) will be the stage that hosts his work.

From May 9 to 15, the bulk of C.A.L.L.E. will take place, the performance of 50 artistic interventions in competition , from numerous artists and in various formats. Painting on glass, like that of Mr. Tioda or Elisabeth Karin, on facades, like those of Ase Torralba, or photographs, like that of Analogue Resistance.
