In this face of nature, the protagonist is you.

Actually, calling "exposure" the new teamLab project It borders on inaccuracy, because the Japanese group (responsible for the magical forest in the Japanese city of Musashino and the full-scale digital art museum) transgresses everything we know about the concept. Here the movement is part of the identity, evolution and change are the fundamental pillars and the spectators, participants in the work. The result is teamLab: art, technology, nature , an exhibition that celebrates ecosystems and their transformation.

The work will see the light on May 19 at CaixaForum Barcelona and it will be at that moment when the public discovers that one does not come here just to observe or admire art. Visitors become directly responsible of the back path of the exhibition, an act that is intended to make us see how our behavior affects our space.

However, it moves away from negative connotations. Rather, teamLab wants us to be aware of how we can generate unique situations that will never be repeated, a quality that makes nature so magical. Having our hands and feet as allies during the visit, they invite us to reflect on our relationship with the environment , apart from create a collective creative space in which the artistic possibilities have no end.

TOUCH TO ACT

All these concepts have been brought together in two immersive experiences in which our interaction is essential. On the one hand, Born fron the Darkness, a Loving, and Beautiful World . On this side, the room is filled with natural elements that transform to our touch. Touching them creates new worlds and images that come out of our first goal: strokes that turn into butterflies or fire, birds that perch on trees, or flowers that fly when the wind blows . All of them create moments that, although they are common, are also unrepeatable.

Here you can create your own ecosystem.

The second part focuses on the functioning of an ecosystem, called Graffiti Nature: Los, Immersed and Reborn . Here lies the most interactive side of the exhibit. The space is full of plants and animals, all in connection, literally. The living beings that inhabit the walls and the floor live, but they also eat and are devoured by others, in a process full of beauty and color. There is no tragedy here.

When one of the animals eats another, it grows in number, but if it cannot eat for a while or is eaten by another, it dies and disappears. The same goes for flowers. They spread if you walk, but they bloom around you if you stand still . Butterflies, for example, also multiply if they are in places with flowers and crocodiles will disappear if you step on them too much.

In this natural habitat, the viewer takes on the leading role. From teamLab they give you the opportunity to generate your own ecosystem through your creations. The process consists of painting the drawings that they offer you and scanning them, and in a few moments your flowers and animals will move through the exhibition space. . This aspect makes it an ideal project to share with children, who will be able to see their imagination reflected on the walls.
