Villa Albergoni can be yours!

Who has not dreamed of spending a season in the bucolic setting Where does the romance between Elio and Oliver start?

Villa Albergoni

Villa Albergoni

Villa Albergoni, located in Moscazzano -a municipality of the lombardy region with less than 1,000 inhabitants -, near Crema, is the beautiful summer residence in which the film was shot, which is now for sale for 1.7 million euros on the House&Loft website.

The residence, which dates from the 16th century and that forms part of the material legacy of historical and artistic interest of Italy , is an old fortified aristocratic villa which has a living area of 1,400 square meters, 14 rooms and 7 bathrooms (spread over two floors).

The heart of Villa Albergoni , surrounded by a huge land -of two hectares- where the vegetation grows freely, it is square in plan, with a front porch on the north side and **two towers, one at each corner. **

A first glance is enough to make you fall madly in love with this movie set (literally) : on the main façade stands out a porch with a sail-shaped roof , on which there is a porch accessible from the first floor. On the other hand, the spectacular door of entrance, ancient and carved with roses , is enhanced by a rustic arched outline.

Inside, with a decoration that preserves the essence of yesteryear, the show continues. A large vaulted atrium, which crosses the entire building, welcomes visitors . On the sides there are two rooms and two other rooms, divided by the main staircase.

From there you can access the service wing, dating back to more recent times and in which there are numerous rooms.

Secondly, the ceiling of the main room is decorated with frescoes , which will also make us look up in other corners of the house. Some of these works of art were made in the 16th century by the painter Aurelio Busso , student of one of the great milestones of the Renaissance: Raphael.

In the first floor -where all the ceilings are made of wood and are worked with coffered ceilings-, a large central corridor leads to four large rooms -with private bathroom- as well as a smaller one.

Finally, there is a wine cellar located in the center of the villa, which is accessed by the main staircase, and two buildings attached to the property: the first is the call farmer's house, located on the west side ; and the second building, located to the left of the entrance, has been used as residence of the estate guard.

Until now, we thought that recreating the romantic summer of Call me by your name , it was priceless. But yes, it does, even if it is not within the reach of all pockets... **Who will own the house where Timothée Chalamet sat playing the piano? **
