The popular architecture studio has risen as winner of Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Competition . So they have decided match the design of the building to its heritage and lifestyle , at the same time that they pretend that future generations will hold hands with the traditions of the place.
The result has been a library that turns everything we know as such upside down and that is going to become in every bibliophile's dream . On the edge of a hill, it can already be seen that the views from there will make the place a perfect cultural retreat , and not only for book lovers, but for any traveler who pays.

It is curious how, despite being a contemporary building, the library manages to camouflage itself in the environment in total harmony . The wood from which it is built, in soft tones and that curved shape make it continue contributing to the landscape that halo of relaxation.
That is why the pavilions of which it is composed are presented as different habitats , and are especially dedicated to reflection. From Snøhetta, they wanted the building to be coupled with the president's connection to the landscape , so that nature breathes in every corner.
The path that follows the library circuit connects with nature trails like Maah Daah Hey . Inside, you can find both rooms where you can enjoy the wide views , What more secluded small spaces that invite tranquility.
A porch for meetings and views of the National Park, what more could you ask for?
The main course is in the highest part. on your roof , visitors will not only admire a simple natural landscape, but the impressive panorama of Theodore Roosevelt National Park , next to which the library will be found. To this are added the Little Missouri River Valley and the Elkhorn Ranch , former Roosevelt estate.
Taking into account the location and all that this entails, the space continues to accumulate advantages. In the evening , and due to the low light pollution in the area, the roof becomes the perfect spot for stargazing (I wish I could have done it on those long study nights in conventional libraries!)
