treehouses shaped like a ufo, lined with mirrors, that erase the limits between inside and outside, between reality and fantasy. They are all part of tree hotel, Swedish accommodation famous for having extravagantly designed buildings in the middle of the forest, which now adds an eighth “room” of round structure and surrounded by birdhouses!
The seventh was built in 2018, and was signed by none other than the innovative Norwegian architecture firm Snøhetta ; now, to continue with the big names, it is BIG , the award-winning Danish firm of Bjarke Ingels , the person in charge of projecting this natural utopia baptized as Biosphere.
THE IMPORTANCE OF ARTIFICIAL NESTS

It is very important to show how the installation of nests affects the feeding of birds, not only at the Treehotel, but also for people to place near their own homes. This initiative can inspire visitors to the accommodation to do the same”, concludes the expert, who has advised BIG on this project.
A NATURAL EXPERIENCE OUT OF THE COMMON
Of course, in addition to giving the surrounding fauna a little push, this innovative cabin also allows enjoy an ornithological experience out of the ordinary : “By wrapping the new hotel room in an ecological habitat, guests have the opportunity to experience bird life in close proximity , being in the epicenter of nature”, they explain from Treehotel.
