This is how a series of maps was born where you can discover the most curious data such as the rottweiler is the number one dog in 34 countries (the most appearances of any race).

METHODOLOGY
To discover the most popular dog breed in each country, HouseholdQuotes.co.uk compiled two lists of dog breed names using dogtime and Wikipedia.
Later, he translated the names into different languages and collected the figures of monthly searches on Google for each breed in all countries to identify the most popular (or most sought after) breed in each.
Finally, mapped the results on a joint world map and on separate maps (Europe, North America, South America, Middle East and Central Asia, rest of Asia and Oceania and Africa), including images of our four-legged friends.

The border collie and the cane corso (or Italian mastiff) are the two most popular dogs in Europe, being the most wanted in seven countries.
The border collie is a family herding dog, while the cane corso is an affectionate and calm guard dog. whose origin dates back to Roman times and is much loved in the Balkans and surrounding nations (specifically: Croatia, Georgia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia).
For its part, the border collie is the most popular dog in: Andorra, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Iceland, Slovenia and Spain!

Despite the name, the Australian Shepherd is a breed from the United States although of Spanish origin, because it was developed in the north of Spain (Asturias and the Basque Country), and later some emigrant shepherds took it to Australia and then to the United States.
In Canada wins the friendly and familiar golden retriever, which is the second most sought after breed in the HouseholdQuotes study and the most popular in 22 countries, only surpassed by the Rottweiler (34) and the German Shepherd (29).
In Mexico, as you can already imagine, the most popular is the chihuahua. Going down through Central America, we find that in Belize the most popular breed is the chow chow.

The rottweiler defends the second position being the favorite in 13 countries: Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Seychelles and Tunisia.
The boerboel , whose origin is South African, is the most prominent breed in four countries: Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
